- Ensure the safety and security of the Joliet Treatment Center by monitoring and supervising inmates at all times.
- Conduct regular inspections of inmates and their living quarters to ensure compliance with facility rules and regulations.
- Enforce facility policies and procedures to maintain order and discipline among inmates.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of inmate behavior and any incidents that occur.
- Provide guidance and support to inmates, including helping them develop coping skills and addressing any behavioral or emotional issues.
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of treatment plans for inmates.
- Conduct searches of inmates and their belongings to prevent contraband from entering the facility.
- Communicate effectively with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and safe working environment.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and incidents, including providing first aid and contacting appropriate authorities.
- Attend and participate in training sessions and meetings to stay updated on facility policies and procedures.
- Maintain professional and respectful relationships with inmates, their families, and other staff members.
- Follow all state and federal laws and regulations regarding the treatment and care of inmates.
- Collaborate with other departments within the facility to ensure the overall well-being of inmates.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Educational Requirement For A Doc Joliet Treatment Center Security Unit Corrections Treatment Officer Is A High School Diploma Or Its Equivalent. This Ensures That The Applicant Has A Basic Level Of Education And Understanding Of General Concepts.
