  1. Develop and implement innovative strategies and initiatives to drive growth and progress in the state of Illinois.
  2. Lead and manage a team of professionals, providing direction and guidance towards achieving organizational goals.
  3. Collaborate with various stakeholders, including government agencies, private organizations, and community leaders, to identify and execute innovative solutions that address key issues and challenges facing the state.
  4. Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies, and advise on their potential impact on the state's progress and development.
  5. Create and maintain partnerships and collaborations with academic institutions, research centers, and industry experts to foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship.
  6. Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of existing programs and policies, and make recommendations for improvement and enhancement.
  7. Develop and manage budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and compliance with financial regulations.
  8. Act as a spokesperson for the organization, representing the state of Illinois at conferences, events, and other public forums.
  9. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting diversity and inclusion within the team and across all initiatives.
  10. Monitor and report on key performance indicators, providing regular updates to senior management and stakeholders on the progress and impact of innovative initiatives.
  11. Stay abreast of legislative and regulatory changes that may affect the organization's operations, and provide guidance on compliance and risk management.
  12. Continuously seek out opportunities for collaboration and partnership to advance the state's innovation agenda.
  13. Develop and maintain relationships with key industry leaders and influencers to promote the state of Illinois as a hub for innovation and progress.
  14. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in all activities and initiatives.
  15. Drive a culture of continuous learning and improvement, encouraging creativity, curiosity, and risk-taking within the organization.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In A Leadership Role, Preferably In A Similar Institute Or Research Organization.

  • Advanced Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Science, Technology, Engineering, Or Business.

  • Strong Understanding Of Innovation Processes And Strategies, With A Track Record Of Successful Implementation.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With A Diverse Group Of Stakeholders.

  • Knowledge Of State And Federal Regulations Related To Research And Innovation, As Well As Experience With Grant Writing And Fundraising.
