  1. Oversee the management and conservation of natural resources in Unit B of the Bureau of Land in the State of Illinois.
  2. Develop and implement effective strategies for the sustainable use and protection of land in Unit B.
  3. Supervise a team of land management professionals, providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations.
  4. Collaborate with other units and departments within the Bureau of Land to ensure cohesive and efficient management of resources.
  5. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of land management plans and make necessary adjustments as needed.
  6. Keep up-to-date with industry developments, laws, and regulations pertaining to land management and conservation.
  7. Work closely with stakeholders, such as local communities and environmental organizations, to gather input and address any concerns.
  8. Prepare and present reports and recommendations to higher management and government officials.
  9. Manage budget and resources allocated for Unit B, ensuring responsible and efficient use.
  10. Serve as a role model for sustainable land management practices and promote awareness and education within the community.
  11. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork, communication, and professional development among staff.
  12. Represent the Bureau of Land and Unit B in meetings, conferences, and events, advocating for the conservation and sustainable use of natural resources.
  13. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to land management and conservation.
  14. Continuously assess and improve processes and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of land management in Unit B.
  15. Uphold the mission and values of the Bureau of Land and promote a positive image of the organization.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Natural Resources Management, Environmental Science, Or A Related Field.

  • At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Land Management, Preferably In A Government Agency Or Similar Organization.

  • Knowledge Of Federal And State Regulations Related To Land Use, Conservation, And Environmental Protection.

  • Strong Leadership And Management Skills, With The Ability To Oversee And Coordinate Multiple Projects And Teams.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Stakeholders, Including Government Officials, Community Groups, And Environmental Organizations.
