- Coordinate the permitting process for broadband infrastructure projects across the state of Illinois.
- Work closely with government agencies, telecommunication companies, and community stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient implementation of broadband initiatives.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate smooth communication and collaboration.
- Stay up-to-date on local and state policies related to telecommunications and broadband to ensure compliance and inform decision-making.
- Manage project timelines and budgets to ensure timely completion of broadband projects.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify potential barriers and challenges in the broadband permitting process and propose solutions.
- Develop and implement strategies to promote broadband adoption and usage in underserved communities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement policies and procedures related to broadband permitting.
- Provide regular updates and reports to management and stakeholders on the progress and impact of broadband projects.
- Ensure all broadband projects comply with relevant regulations, laws, and policies.
- Develop and maintain a database of broadband projects and permits for tracking purposes.
- Train and educate stakeholders on broadband policies and procedures.
- Represent the state of Illinois in meetings and conferences related to broadband policy and permitting.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of broadband policies and processes and make recommendations for improvement.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and trends in the telecommunications industry to inform decision-making and policy development.
Bachelor's Degree In Public Policy, Urban Planning, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Broadband Permitting And Policy Development.
Knowledge Of State And Federal Regulations And Laws Related To Broadband Infrastructure.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Various Stakeholders And Government Agencies.
Experience In Project Management And Ability To Prioritize And Manage Multiple Projects Simultaneously.
