  1. Conduct regular risk assessments and implement appropriate security measures to ensure the safety of the agency and its employees.
  2. Develop and maintain safety and security policies and procedures in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  3. Monitor and analyze security trends and make recommendations for improvements and updates to security protocols.
  4. Collaborate with team members and other departments to create a positive and inclusive work environment that is conducive to safety and security.
  5. Train and educate employees on safety and security protocols and emergency response procedures.
  6. Conduct investigations and handle security incidents, including coordinating with law enforcement as needed.
  7. Oversee the maintenance and operation of security equipment and systems, such as surveillance cameras and alarms.
  8. Keep up-to-date with security industry developments and implement best practices to ensure the agency's safety and security measures are effective.
  9. Maintain accurate and detailed records of security incidents and actions taken.
  10. Communicate with agency leadership and provide regular updates on safety and security issues.
  11. Respond to emergency situations and provide guidance and support to employees during crisis situations.
  12. Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety and security policies and procedures.
  13. Foster a culture of safety and security throughout the agency by promoting awareness and encouraging reporting of any safety or security concerns.
  14. Collaborate with external partners, such as law enforcement agencies and security vendors, to enhance the agency's safety and security efforts.
  15. Serve as a role model for professionalism, integrity, and ethical behavior in all safety and security-related matters.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Criminal Justice, Security Management, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Law Enforcement, Security, Or Emergency Management.

  • Certification In Emergency Preparedness And Response, Such As Fema's Professional Development Series.

  • Knowledge Of Illinois State Laws And Regulations Related To Safety And Security.

  • Strong Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Train And Manage A Team Of Security Personnel.
