  1. Plan and implement therapeutic activities for clients with mental health and developmental disabilities.
  2. Conduct assessments to determine clients’ needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  3. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
  4. Engage clients in various physical, cognitive, and emotional activities to promote their overall well-being.
  5. Monitor and evaluate clients’ progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  6. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress and services provided.
  7. Create a safe and supportive environment for clients to participate in therapeutic activities.
  8. Educate clients and their families on the benefits of participating in therapeutic activities and provide resources for continued support.
  9. Stay up-to-date on best practices and innovative techniques in activity therapy.
  10. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in the delivery of services.
  11. Collaborate with community organizations and resources to provide additional support and opportunities for clients.
  12. Attend team meetings and provide input on client progress and treatment plans.
  13. Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards clients, colleagues, and agency policies and procedures.
  14. Continuously evaluate and improve activity therapy programs to ensure quality and effectiveness.
  15. Uphold the mission and values of the agency and promote a positive image in the community.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Recreational Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation, Or A Related Field.

  • Certification As A Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (Ctrs) Through The National Council For Therapeutic Recreation Certification (Nctrc).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As An Activity Therapist In A Healthcare Or Rehabilitation Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Evidence-Based Therapeutic Interventions And Techniques For Individuals With Physical, Cognitive, And Emotional Disabilities.

  • Ability To Develop And Implement Individualized Treatment Plans And Adapt Activities For Diverse Populations, Including Children, Adults, And Older Adults.
