As an Accountant (UMP), you will be responsible for performing complex accounting tasks and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.   1. Conduct complex accounting tasks and ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records for the State of Illinois.
  2. Utilize strong analytical skills to identify discrepancies and make necessary adjustments to financial data.
  3. Perform regular audits and reviews to maintain compliance with state and federal regulations.
  4. Manage the financial operations of the organization, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  5. Collaborate with other team members to analyze financial data and provide insights and recommendations for improving financial performance.
  6. Utilize accounting software and other tools to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  7. Stay up-to-date on accounting principles and regulations to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.
  8. Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
  9. Contribute to the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
  10. Use attention to detail to catch errors and ensure accuracy in all financial transactions.
  11. Provide support and guidance to other team members on accounting and financial matters.
  12. Participate in meetings and presentations to share financial information and provide insights on financial performance.
  13. Collaborate with external auditors and respond to inquiries to ensure successful audits.
  14. Work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
  15. Uphold ethical standards and maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Accounting, Finance, Or Related Field.

  • Certified Public Accountant (Cpa) License.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Accounting Or Financial Management.

  • Proficient In Microsoft Excel And Other Accounting Software.

  • Knowledge Of Illinois Tax Laws And Regulations.
