
OFFICE ASSISTANT IV - CORRECTIONAL FACILITIES

- Provide administrative support to the staff of the State of Hawaii's Department of Public Safety.
- Ensure the efficient and accurate completion of all office tasks.
- Maintain organized and detailed records of all office activities.
- Assist with scheduling and coordinating meetings and appointments.
- Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and other inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Compile and distribute reports, memos, and other documents as needed.
- Process and file paperwork, including personnel files and incident reports.
- Manage office supplies and equipment, ensuring that all necessary items are stocked and in working order.
- Collaborate with other departments and agencies to gather and share information.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Assist in the preparation and coordination of training sessions and events.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with staff, inmates, and the public.
- Stay up-to-date on department policies and procedures, and assist in implementing changes as needed.
- Contribute to maintaining a safe and secure environment for staff, inmates, and the community.
Proficiency In Microsoft Office And Other Relevant Software Programs.
Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education.
At Least Two Years Of Experience In An Administrative Support Or Office Assistant Role In A Correctional Facility.
Knowledge Of Correctional Facility Procedures And Protocols, Including Inmate Processing, Visitation Procedures, And Security Regulations.
Strong Communication And Organizational Skills, With The Ability To Maintain Confidentiality And Handle Sensitive Information.
