- Develop and implement comprehensive emergency and security plans for the state of Hawaii.
- Coordinate and collaborate with various agencies and stakeholders to ensure effective response and mitigation of potential threats.
- Oversee the maintenance and improvement of security systems, including surveillance cameras and alarm systems.
- Manage a team of emergency and security systems planners, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful execution of duties.
- Conduct regular trainings and drills to prepare for emergency situations and ensure readiness of all personnel.
- Stay up-to-date with current emergency and security protocols and make recommendations for updates and improvements.
- Monitor and assess potential risks and vulnerabilities to the state and develop strategies to address them.
- Serve as the main point of contact for all emergency and security planning matters, both internally and externally.
- Collaborate with other state and local agencies to develop coordinated response plans for emergencies.
- Prepare reports and presentations on emergency and security plans, progress, and challenges for higher management.
- Uphold and enforce all state and federal laws and regulations related to emergency and security planning.
- Foster a culture of safety and security within the state by promoting awareness and implementing best practices.
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations, providing leadership and direction to ensure the safety and well-being of all individuals involved.
- Conduct regular evaluations and assessments of emergency and security planning procedures and make necessary adjustments.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to emergency and security planning activities.
- Represent the state in meetings, conferences, and other events related to emergency and security planning.
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Emergency And Security Systems Planning, Implementation, And Management.
Bachelor's Degree In Emergency Management, Security Management, Or A Related Field.
Knowledge Of Federal And State Emergency And Security Regulations, Policies, And Procedures.
Strong Project Management Skills, Including Budgeting, Scheduling, And Resource Allocation.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate And Coordinate With Multiple Departments And Agencies.
