  1. Provide exceptional customer service to library patrons, assisting them with finding and accessing materials, answering questions, and resolving any issues.
  2. Maintain a welcoming and inclusive environment for all library visitors, promoting diversity and cultural understanding.
  3. Manage the library's collection of books, magazines, and other materials, including cataloging, shelving, and weeding.
  4. Develop and implement programs and events that promote literacy, education, and community engagement, such as book clubs, author visits, and story times for children.
  5. Collaborate with local schools and community organizations to promote library services and resources.
  6. Utilize technology to enhance library services, such as online catalog systems and digital resources.
  7. Assist patrons with technology use, including computers, printers, and e-readers.
  8. Provide reference and research assistance to patrons, helping them find information and resources to meet their needs.
  9. Educate and train patrons on how to use library resources effectively, including online databases and research tools.
  10. Stay current on emerging trends and developments in the library field, and make recommendations for improvements and changes to library services.
  11. Maintain accurate records and statistics related to library usage and services.
  12. Train and supervise library staff and volunteers, delegating tasks and providing guidance and support.
  13. Follow all library policies and procedures, including those related to confidentiality, intellectual freedom, and safety.
  14. Act as an ambassador for the library, promoting its services and resources to the community and advocating for its importance in promoting literacy and education.
  15. Attend meetings and conferences related to library science and literacy to stay informed and share knowledge and best practices with colleagues.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Library Science Or Information Science From An Accredited Institution.

  • Knowledge Of Library Management Systems And Digital Resources, Such As Online Databases And E-Books.

  • Familiarity With Cataloging And Classification Systems, Such As Dewey Decimal Or Library Of Congress.

  • Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills, With The Ability To Interact With Diverse Populations.

  • Prior Experience Working In A Library Setting, Preferably In A Supervisory Or Managerial Role.
