
Land Management Administrator

- Develop and implement comprehensive land management plans to protect and preserve Hawaii's natural resources.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to land management.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including government agencies, community groups, and private landowners, to gather input and support for land management initiatives.
- Monitor and assess the condition of Hawaii's land resources, identifying areas in need of conservation efforts and taking appropriate action.
- Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of state-owned land, including coordinating with other departments and contractors as needed.
- Manage a team of land management staff, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
- Conduct research and stay current on developments in land management practices and technologies, incorporating new methods into land management plans as appropriate.
- Prepare and present reports and presentations on land management activities to various stakeholders, including government officials and the general public.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of land management activities, ensuring compliance with all reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with other government agencies and departments to coordinate land management efforts and avoid duplication of efforts.
- Represent the State of Hawaii at meetings, conferences, and other events related to land management.
- Serve as a liaison between the state government and community groups, private landowners, and other stakeholders regarding land management issues.
- Develop and manage budgets for land management initiatives, ensuring responsible use of state funds.
- Continuously evaluate and improve land management practices to maximize the effectiveness of conservation efforts.
- Uphold the values and mission of the State of Hawaii in all land management activities.
Bachelor's Degree In Natural Resource Management, Land Use Planning, Or Related Field
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Land Management Or Related Field
Knowledge Of State And Federal Laws, Regulations, And Policies Related To Land Management
Experience With Gis Mapping And Database Management
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Various Stakeholders And Government Agencies.
