
HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT III - CORRECTIONAL FACILITIES

- Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates for open positions in correctional facilities.
- Conduct pre-employment screenings, including background checks and drug tests, to ensure the suitability of potential hires for a correctional environment.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to review job descriptions, identify essential job functions, and develop selection criteria for open positions.
- Coordinate and conduct interviews with candidates, including scheduling, preparing interview questions, and providing feedback to hiring managers.
- Assist with the onboarding process for new hires, including completing necessary paperwork, coordinating training, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files, benefits information, and performance evaluations.
- Provide support and guidance to managers and employees on human resources policies and procedures, including but not limited to, equal employment opportunity, employee relations, and performance management.
- Collaborate with other human resources staff to develop and implement training programs for employees and managers on topics such as diversity and inclusion, workplace harassment, and conflict resolution.
- Stay informed of changes in human resources laws and regulations and make recommendations for updates to policies and procedures as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Assist with special projects and initiatives related to human resources and correctional facility operations.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels of the organization, including management, employees, and external stakeholders.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes fairness, equity, and respect for all employees.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the human resources manager or supervisor.
Bachelor's Degree In Human Resources, Business Administration, Or Related Field.
At Least 3 Years Of Experience In Human Resources, Preferably In A Correctional Facility Setting.
Knowledge Of Applicable Federal And State Laws, Rules, And Regulations Related To Employment In Correctional Facilities.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, Including The Ability To Work With A Diverse Group Of Stakeholders.
Strong Organizational Skills And Attention To Detail, With The Ability To Handle Sensitive And Confidential Information.
