
Human Resources Assistant

- Serve as the primary point of contact for all employee and applicant inquiries, providing exceptional customer service and promptly addressing any concerns or questions.
- Assist with the recruitment and onboarding process by scheduling interviews, conducting background checks, and preparing new hire paperwork.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations.
- Help create and implement HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistency and fairness across all departments.
- Coordinate and facilitate employee training and development programs.
- Support the performance evaluation process by tracking deadlines, collecting and organizing feedback, and maintaining records.
- Assist with benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and employee inquiries.
- Collaborate with other HR team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Conduct research and analysis on HR best practices and make recommendations for improvement.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with discretion.
- Provide general administrative support to the HR department, such as scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and maintaining supplies.
- Stay up-to-date on labor laws and regulations to ensure compliance in all HR activities.
- Act as a positive ambassador for the State of Hawaii and the HR department, promoting a welcoming and inclusive work environment.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve and streamline HR processes and procedures.
- Participate in special projects and tasks as assigned by HR management.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills.
Bachelor's Degree In Human Resources, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In An Hr Support Role, Preferably In A Government Setting.
Knowledge Of Hawaii's Labor Laws And Regulations.
Proficient In Microsoft Office And Hris Software.
