- Oversee the maintenance and operations of all golf courses within the State of Hawaii, ensuring they are kept in top condition for guests to enjoy.
- Develop and implement strategic plans and programs for the maintenance and improvement of the golf courses, in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
- Manage a team of golf course maintenance staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality work and efficient operations.
- Monitor and control the budget for golf course maintenance, including expenses for equipment, supplies, and labor.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as groundskeeping and clubhouse management, to ensure the overall success and smooth operation of the golf courses.
- Conduct regular inspections of the courses to identify any issues or areas for improvement, and take prompt corrective action as needed.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of necessary materials and services.
- Keep up-to-date with advancements in turf management and equipment technology, and implement new practices as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to golf course maintenance activities, such as budgets, schedules, and inventory.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations and standards, promoting a safe and sustainable work environment.
- Represent the golf courses at community events and engage with guests to promote a positive image and enhance their experience.
- Continuously strive to improve the quality and aesthetics of the golf courses, in line with the State of Hawaii's commitment to preserving the natural beauty of the island.
Bachelor's Degree In Turf Management, Agronomy, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Golf Course Maintenance, With At Least 3 Years In A Supervisory Role.
Knowledge Of Local Climate And Soil Conditions In Hawaii, As Well As Experience With Tropical Grasses And Plants.
Strong Leadership And Management Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate And Collaborate With Staff, Members, And Vendors.
Familiarity With Budgeting, Equipment Maintenance, And Irrigation Systems, As Well As A Commitment To Environmental Stewardship And Sustainable Practices.
