- Conduct comprehensive dental examinations and provide appropriate treatment plans for patients.
- Perform routine and complex dental procedures including fillings, extractions, and root canals.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventative care techniques.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and treatment.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Stay current with advancements in dental technology and techniques.
- Provide compassionate and culturally sensitive care to patients from diverse backgrounds.
- Participate in outreach programs and community events to promote oral health awareness.
- Adhere to ethical standards and principles in all aspects of patient care.
- Collaborate with insurance companies and assist patients with insurance claims.

- Mentor and supervise dental assistants, hygienists, and other support staff.

Valid State Of Hawaii Dental License: The First And Most Important Qualification For A Dentist At Lanakila Health Center Is A Valid State Dental License. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Met All The Necessary Education And Training Requirements To Practice Dentistry In The State Of Hawaii.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience: The State Of Hawaii Requires Candidates For The Dentist Position At Lanakila Health Center To Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Setting. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Strong Foundation In Providing Dental Care And Has Experience Working With Diverse Patient Populations.
Proficiency In Dental Procedures: Candidates Must Be Proficient In All Aspects Of General Dentistry, Including But Not Limited To Restorative, Endodontic, Prosthodontic, And Periodontal Procedures. They Should Also Have Experience In Administering Local Anesthesia And Handling Medical Emergencies.
Strong Communication Skills: As A Dentist At Lanakila Health Center, Candidates Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Colleagues, And Other Healthcare Professionals. This Includes Being Able To Explain Complex Dental Procedures In A Clear And Understandable Manner And Having Strong Interpersonal Skills To Build Relationships With Patients.
