  9. Communicate effectively with the public to address any concerns or questions related to building construction and safety.
  10. Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in building construction inspection.

  12. Continuously evaluate and improve inspection processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge Of Building Codes: A Qualified Building Construction Inspector At State Of Hawaii Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of All Relevant Building Codes, Including Local, State, And Federal Regulations.

  • Construction Experience: Prior Experience In The Construction Industry Is Essential For A Building Construction Inspector. This Could Include Experience As A Contractor, Architect, Or Engineer.

  • Education And Certification: A Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field (Such As Construction Management Or Civil Engineering) Is Typically Required For This Position. Additionally, Certification As A Building Inspector From A Recognized Organization, Such As The International Code Council (Icc), Is Highly Desirable.

  • Attention To Detail: Building Construction Inspectors Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail To Identify Potential Safety Hazards, Code Violations, And Other Issues That May Arise During The Construction Process.
