
Agricultural Loan Officer VI

- Manage and oversee the lending activities of the Department of Agriculture's Farm Loan Program.
- Review and analyze loan applications to determine eligibility and risk assessment.
- Provide guidance and advice to farmers on financing options and loan programs.
- Collaborate with other departments and agencies to ensure effective and efficient loan processing.
- Monitor loan portfolios and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Develop and implement strategies to promote and sustain Hawaii's agricultural industry.
- Conduct site visits and evaluations to assess the financial viability of farms.
- Review and update loan policies and procedures as needed.
- Build and maintain relationships with farmers, lenders, and other stakeholders in the agriculture industry.
- Participate in outreach and educational programs to increase awareness of the Farm Loan Program.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes.
- Represent the Department of Agriculture at meetings, conferences, and events.
- Prepare reports and presentations on loan activity and program effectiveness.
- Train and mentor junior loan officers.
- Adhere to ethical standards and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Bachelor's Degree In Agricultural Economics, Finance, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 8 Years Of Experience In Agricultural Lending, Preferably In A Supervisory Role.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Agricultural Industry Regulations, Policies, And Loan Programs.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills For Building And Maintaining Relationships With Farmers And Ranchers.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills With The Ability To Assess Credit Risk And Make Sound Lending Decisions.
