  1. Lead and manage the implementation of critical technology initiatives for the State of Colorado.
  2. Utilize technical expertise to develop and implement innovative solutions to complex technical challenges.
  3. Provide strategic direction and guidance to project teams, ensuring successful delivery of projects.
  4. Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets, and monitor progress against established goals.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks, resolve issues, and ensure project success.
  6. Drive the adoption of new technologies and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  7. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in technology and project management.
  8. Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance and support to foster a high-performing and motivated team.
  9. Communicate project status, updates, and risks to stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  10. Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and customer focus within the team and organization.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science Or Related Field: A Technical Manager At State Of Colorado Should Possess A Strong Educational Background In The Field Of Computer Science Or A Related Field To Effectively Manage Technical Projects And Teams.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Technical Project Management: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Managing Technical Projects And Teams For At Least 5 Years, Preferably In A Government Or Public Sector Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Project Management Methodologies: A Technical Manager Should Be Well-Versed In Various Project Management Methodologies Such As Agile, Scrum, And Waterfall To Effectively Plan, Execute, And Monitor Technical Projects.

  • Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills: As A Technical Manager, It Is Crucial To Have Strong Communication And Leadership Skills To Effectively Coordinate With Team Members, Stakeholders, And Other Departments Within The State Of Colorado.

  • Experience With Budget Management And Resource Allocation: The Candidate Should Have Experience Managing Project Budgets And Allocating Resources Efficiently To Ensure Project Success Within The Allocated Budget And Timeline. Experience With Government Budgeting Processes Is Preferred.
