  1. Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on state facilities and infrastructure to ensure they remain safe, functional, and meet environmental standards.
  2. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies to minimize disruption to state operations and ensure the safety of employees and the public.
  3. Monitor and maintain building systems and equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  4. Perform routine inspections and identify potential maintenance issues, addressing them in a timely manner to prevent further damage or safety hazards.
  5. Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including work orders, materials used, and hours worked.
  6. Collaborate with other state departments and agencies to coordinate maintenance and repair efforts and ensure efficient use of resources.
  7. Conduct preventative maintenance tasks to extend the lifespan of state facilities and equipment.
  8. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines when performing maintenance duties, including wearing personal protective equipment and safely handling hazardous materials.
  9. Train and mentor new maintenance technicians and provide guidance and support to less experienced team members.
  10. Stay up-to-date on industry standards and best practices for maintenance and repair work, and make recommendations for improvements to current processes and procedures.
  11. Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and other stakeholders to provide updates on maintenance activities and discuss any issues or concerns.
  12. Represent the State of Colorado in a professional and respectful manner at all times, demonstrating a commitment to providing high-quality maintenance services.
