  1. Provide expert guidance and support to public libraries throughout the state of Colorado.
  2. Promote access to information and foster a love for reading and learning within communities.
  3. Demonstrate strong leadership skills in order to effectively lead and inspire library staff.
  4. Stay up-to-date on current trends and best practices in public library operations.
  5. Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address complex issues and challenges faced by public libraries.
  6. Communicate effectively with library staff, stakeholders, and community members.
  7. Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement strategies for improving public library services.
  8. Conduct research and analysis to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for change.
  9. Train and mentor library staff on best practices and procedures.
  10. Represent the state of Colorado in meetings and conferences related to public library services.
  11. Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including library directors, board members, and community leaders.
  12. Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to public library operations.
  13. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of library services and make recommendations for improvement.
  14. Stay updated on state and federal laws and regulations related to public library services.
  15. Act as an advocate for public libraries and promote their value within the community.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Library And Information Science From An Ala-Accredited Program.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience Working In A Public Library Setting, With At Least 3 Years In A Supervisory Or Management Role.

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Current Industry Trends And Best Practices In Public Library Services And Operations.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate And Build Relationships With Library Staff, Stakeholders, And Community Partners.

  • Demonstrated Experience In Strategic Planning, Budget Management, And Project Management, With A Track Record Of Successful Implementation Of Innovative Library Programs And Services.
