  1. Develop and implement curriculum for nursing courses in accordance with state and national standards.
  2. Provide engaging and interactive lectures, discussions, and demonstrations to educate students on nursing theory and practice.
  3. Mentor and supervise students in clinical settings, providing guidance and feedback to help them develop their nursing skills.
  4. Participate in faculty meetings and collaborate with other faculty members to continuously improve the nursing program.
  5. Stay up-to-date with current trends and advancements in the nursing field to incorporate into curriculum and teaching methods.
  6. Assess student learning and provide timely and constructive feedback to facilitate their growth and development.
  7. Serve as a role model for students, demonstrating professionalism, ethical behavior, and a commitment to lifelong learning.
  8. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports diversity and cultural competence.
  9. Participate in recruitment and retention efforts for the nursing program.
  10. Engage in scholarly activities, such as research and publications, to contribute to the advancement of nursing education.
  11. Maintain all necessary certifications and licenses to teach nursing courses.
  12. Adhere to all policies and procedures established by the university and the nursing program.
  13. Collaborate with local healthcare facilities to provide students with opportunities for hands-on learning experiences.
  14. Communicate effectively with colleagues, students, and staff to promote a positive and collaborative work environment.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve teaching methods and materials to enhance student learning outcomes.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Nursing Or Related Field.

  • Active And Unrestricted Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Colorado.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Clinical Experience As A Nurse.

  • Previous Experience Teaching In An Academic Setting, Preferably In A Nursing Program.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Engage And Mentor Students From Diverse Backgrounds.
