Welcome to the State of Colorado's Housing Development Specialist position! We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team in creating and implementing innovative housing development initiatives across the state. As a Housing Development Specialist, you will play a critical role in addressing one of the most pressing issues facing our community - affordable housing.   1. Develop and implement innovative housing development initiatives to address the affordable housing crisis in the State of Colorado.
  2. Conduct research and analysis on current housing policies and programs to identify areas for improvement and develop new strategies.
  3. Collaborate with various stakeholders, including government agencies, non-profit organizations, and private developers, to identify and leverage resources for housing development projects.
  4. Develop and manage project budgets and timelines to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of housing development initiatives.
  5. Stay up-to-date on local, state, and federal housing policies and regulations to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for funding.
  6. Provide technical assistance and guidance to communities and organizations on housing development best practices.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with key partners and stakeholders to support the success of housing development initiatives.
  8. Coordinate and facilitate community engagement efforts to gather input and feedback on housing development projects.
  9. Prepare reports and presentations on housing development initiatives, progress, and outcomes for stakeholders and government officials.
  10. Monitor and evaluate the impact of housing development initiatives and make recommendations for improvements and future projects.
  11. Represent the State of Colorado at conferences, workshops, and other events to share knowledge and expertise on housing development.

  13. Adhere to ethical standards and follow all relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to housing development.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Urban Planning, Public Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Housing Development, Preferably In A Government Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Federal And State Housing Programs, Regulations, And Funding Sources.

  • Strong Analytical Skills And Ability To Research And Analyze Housing Market Data.

  • Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills, With The Ability To Work With Diverse Stakeholders Such As Government Agencies, Community Organizations, And Developers.
