  1. Perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of heavy equipment, including but not limited to bulldozers, excavators, and dump trucks.
  2. Conduct thorough inspections to identify and diagnose mechanical issues and determine appropriate repair solutions.
  3. Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  4. Follow manufacturer guidelines and safety protocols to ensure proper and safe operation of equipment.
  5. Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repairs performed, including parts used and labor hours.
  6. Communicate with team members and supervisors to coordinate repairs and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  7. Monitor and maintain inventory levels of parts and supplies, and order new parts as needed.
  8. Adhere to all state and federal regulations and guidelines related to equipment maintenance and repair.
  9. Participate in training and professional development opportunities to stay current with new technology and equipment.
  10. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, and adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
  11. Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders, responding promptly and professionally to service requests.
  12. Continuously seek to improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness of equipment maintenance and repair.
  13. Collaborate with other team members to complete projects and tasks as needed.
  14. Stay up-to-date on industry standards and best practices related to heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
  15. Represent the State of Colorado in a professional and positive manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience As A Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Preferably In A Government Or Public Sector Setting.

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Various Types Of Heavy Equipment, Including But Not Limited To Bulldozers, Excavators, And Loaders.

  • Strong Troubleshooting And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Diagnose And Repair Mechanical Issues Efficiently And Effectively.

  • Familiarity With Safety Protocols And Practices Related To Heavy Equipment Operation And Maintenance.

  • Valid Driver's License And Clean Driving Record, As Well As The Ability To Obtain A Commercial Driver's License (Cdl) If Required For The Position.
