Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, operations, and development of our state buildings and facilities.   1. Develop and implement strategic plans for the maintenance, operations, and development of state buildings and facilities.
  2. Oversee the day-to-day management and operations of all state facilities, including maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
  3. Develop and manage budgets for facility maintenance, operations, and development projects.
  4. Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities to ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to plan and execute facility improvement projects.
  6. Monitor and maintain inventory of equipment and supplies necessary for the upkeep of facilities.
  7. Hire, train, and manage a team of facility staff, including maintenance technicians and custodial workers.
  8. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors for facility maintenance and repair services.
  9. Develop and implement sustainability initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of state facilities.
  10. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to facility maintenance, operations, and development.
  11. Stay updated on industry best practices and new technologies to improve facility operations and reduce costs.
  12. Respond promptly to facility emergencies and coordinate with appropriate departments for resolution.
  13. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to facility management, safety, and health.
  14. Communicate regularly with stakeholders, including employees and citizens, to address facility-related concerns and provide updates on projects.
  15. Participate in meetings and presentations related to facility management and provide updates on facility projects and initiatives.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Facilities Management, Engineering, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Facilities Management, With At Least 2 Years In A Supervisory Or Management Role.

  • Knowledge Of Building Systems And Maintenance, Including Hvac, Electrical, Plumbing, And Fire Safety.

  • Familiarity With Local And State Regulations And Codes Related To Building Maintenance And Safety.

  • Strong Leadership And Communication Skills, Including The Ability To Effectively Manage A Team And Communicate With Stakeholders At All Levels.
