- Ensure all documentation is properly indexed and easily accessible for court staff and legal professionals.

- Prepare and distribute court calendars and schedules.
- Assist in the preparation of legal documents, such as subpoenas and motions.

Knowledge Of Legal Terminology And Court Procedures: A Docket Clerk Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Legal Terminology And Court Procedures In Order To Accurately Maintain And Update Court Dockets.

Organizational Skills: Docket Clerks Are Responsible For Managing A Large Volume Of Court Dockets And Must Possess Excellent Organizational Skills To Keep Them Updated And Easily Accessible.
Computer Proficiency: In Today's Digital Age, Docket Clerks Must Be Proficient In Using Computer Software And Databases To Manage Court Dockets.
Communication Skills: Docket Clerks Frequently Interact With Judges, Attorneys, And Other Court Staff, So Strong Communication Skills Are Essential In This Role. This Includes Both Written And Verbal Communication Skills.
