Job Description

Welcome to the State of Colorado! We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Compliance & Equity Officer to join our team. As a Compliance & Equity Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring our organization's adherence to all state and federal laws, regulations, and policies.   1. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all state and federal laws, regulations, and policies.
  2. Conduct regular audits and reviews to assess the organization's compliance with laws and regulations.
  3. Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations related to compliance and equity, and communicate necessary updates to relevant departments.
  4. Collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance with diversity and inclusion initiatives and programs.
  5. Investigate and address any reported incidents of discrimination, harassment, or other compliance-related issues.
  6. Develop and conduct training programs to educate employees on compliance and equity policies and procedures.
  7. Work closely with HR to ensure fair and equitable hiring, promotion, and performance evaluation practices.
  8. Monitor and analyze data to identify any patterns or discrepancies related to equity and diversity.
  9. Collaborate with external agencies and organizations to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
  10. Serve as a resource and advisor to employees and management on compliance and equity-related matters.
  11. Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to promote a culture of fairness and inclusivity.
  12. Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on compliance and equity-related matters.
  13. Act as a liaison between the organization and regulatory agencies during compliance audits and investigations.
  14. Stay abreast of best practices and industry standards related to compliance and equity and make recommendations for improvement.
  15. Uphold and promote ethical standards and a strong code of conduct within the organization.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Law, Human Resources, Or Public Administration.

  • At Least 3 Years Of Experience In A Compliance Or Equity Role, Preferably In A Government Or Public Sector Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Federal And State Laws And Regulations Related To Compliance And Equity, Including Title Ix, Ada, And Eeo.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build Relationships And Work Collaboratively With Diverse Stakeholders.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Interpret Complex Information And Make Recommendations For Compliance And Equity Improvements.
