  3. Collaborate with other agencies and community resources to connect parolees with necessary services, such as housing, employment, and mental health treatment.
  4. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all interactions and interventions with parolees.
  5. Conduct thorough risk assessments to determine appropriate levels of supervision and support for each parolee.
  6. Enforce parole conditions and respond to any violations with appropriate interventions.
  7. Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques when necessary.
  8. Promote public safety by proactively identifying potential risks and addressing them in a timely manner.
  9. Educate and inform the community about the importance of successful reintegration for individuals on parole.
  10. Stay up-to-date on current laws, policies, and procedures related to parole and community supervision.
  11. Communicate regularly with parolees' families, employers, and other stakeholders to ensure a successful transition.
  12. Serve as a role model and mentor for parolees, promoting positive behavior and decision-making.
  13. Attend training and professional development opportunities to enhance job knowledge and skills.
  14. Uphold ethical standards and maintain confidentiality in all interactions with parolees and their families.
  15. Act as a liaison between parolees and the criminal justice system, providing support and guidance throughout the reentry process.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Criminal Justice Or Related Field: A Community Parole Officer At State Of Colorado Must Have A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field To Understand And Address The Complexities Of The Criminal Justice System.

  • Experience In Law Enforcement Or Social Work: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Prior Experience In Law Enforcement Or Social Work To Effectively Handle Parolees And Their Rehabilitation Process.

  • Knowledge Of Colorado Parole Laws And Regulations: The Community Parole Officer Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of The Parole Laws And Regulations Specific To The State Of Colorado To Ensure The Proper Supervision And Support Of Parolees.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Community Parole Officer, The Ability To Communicate Effectively And Build Relationships With Parolees, Their Families, And Other Stakeholders Is Crucial In Ensuring Successful Reintegration Into Society.

  • Ability To Work In A Multidisciplinary Team: The Role Of A Community Parole Officer Involves Collaborating With Various Agencies, Such As Probation Offices, Law Enforcement, And Treatment Providers.
