  1. Manage and oversee the implementation of climate grants, including application process, selection criteria, and distribution of funds.
  2. Conduct research and analysis on current climate issues and trends to inform grant decisions and priorities.
  3. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and maintain partnerships for grant opportunities.
  4. Monitor and track grant progress and expenditures to ensure compliance with funding requirements and deadlines.
  5. Create and maintain detailed records and reports on grant activities and outcomes.
  6. Stay up-to-date on relevant legislation, policies, and initiatives related to climate change and incorporate them into grant strategies.
  7. Communicate with grant recipients to provide guidance and support throughout the grant process.
  8. Organize and coordinate meetings, workshops, and events related to climate grants.
  9. Develop and implement strategies to promote the impact of climate grants and raise public awareness of climate issues.
  10. Provide recommendations for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the grant process.
  11. Work closely with the team to ensure alignment of grant priorities with the overall goals and objectives of the organization.
  12. Collaborate with other departments and agencies to identify and pursue additional funding opportunities for climate initiatives.
  13. Represent the State of Colorado's climate efforts at conferences and events.
  14. Stay informed on emerging trends and best practices in grant management and climate change mitigation.
  15. Adhere to all ethical standards and maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information related to grant applications and recipients.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Environmental Science, Sustainability, Or A Related Field.

  • Experience In Grant Writing And Management, Specifically In The Area Of Climate Change.

  • Knowledge Of Federal And State Regulations And Policies Related To Climate Change And Environmental Protection.

  • Strong Analytical And Research Skills To Identify Funding Opportunities And Assess Their Alignment With Organizational Goals.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Collaborate With Internal And External Stakeholders And Effectively Advocate For Funding For Climate Change Initiatives.
