
Campus Neighborhood Community Officer
Welcome to the State of Colorado! We are currently seeking a highly motivated and community-oriented individual to serve as our Campus Neighborhood Community Officer. - Develop and implement community policing strategies to create a safe and inclusive environment for the campus community.
- Serve as a liaison between the campus community and local law enforcement agencies.
- Educate and engage students, faculty, and staff on campus safety and crime prevention.
- Conduct regular patrols of campus grounds and buildings to identify and address any potential safety hazards.
- Respond to and investigate reports of suspicious activity, crimes, and safety concerns.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with students, faculty, and staff to foster a sense of trust and cooperation.
- Collaborate with campus organizations and community partners to promote safety and address any issues or concerns.
- Organize and participate in community events and initiatives to promote community policing and build relationships with students.
- Maintain thorough and accurate records of incidents and activities.
- Stay up-to-date on relevant laws, policies, and procedures related to campus safety and community policing.
- Report any safety concerns or issues to appropriate authorities and take necessary actions to address them.
- Serve as a resource and point of contact for members of the campus community seeking assistance or information related to safety and security.
- Represent the campus in meetings and discussions related to community safety and policing.
- Participate in training and professional development activities to enhance skills and stay current on best practices in community policing.
- Embody the values and mission of the State of Colorado and the campus community in all interactions and responsibilities.
Must Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Law Enforcement Or Community Policing.
Must Possess A Valid Driver's License And Have A Clean Driving Record.
Must Have Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Engage With Residents, Students, And Other Campus Stakeholders.
Must Be Able To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team, With A Strong Commitment To Community-Oriented Policing.
Must Be Knowledgeable About State And Federal Laws, Policies, And Procedures Related To Campus Safety And Security.
