  • Conduct investigations into potential violations of state laws and regulations by licensed professionals.
  • Prepare and present cases before administrative boards and/or in court.
  • Gather and analyze evidence, including interviewing witnesses and reviewing documents.
  • Draft legal documents, including complaints, motions, and briefs.
  • Conduct legal research to support case arguments and decisions.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to develop case strategies.
  • Communicate with licensed professionals, witnesses, and other stakeholders to gather information and provide updates on cases.
  • Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.
  • Stay current on relevant laws and regulations to ensure compliance in all cases.
  • Adhere to ethical and professional standards in all aspects of the job.
  • Represent the Division of Professions and Occupations in a professional and respectful manner at all times.
  • Assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures related to the regulation of licensed professionals.
  • Provide guidance and support to other staff members as needed.
  • Contribute to the overall mission of the Division of Professions and Occupations to protect the public and uphold the integrity of licensed professionals in the state of Colorado.

Job Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (J.d.) Degree From An Accredited Law School

  • Admission To The Colorado State Bar

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Practicing Law, Preferably In The Field Of Regulatory Compliance Or Administrative Law

  • Excellent Written And Oral Communication Skills
