  1. Oversee a team of administrative staff and provide guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure their professional development and success.
  2. Develop and implement efficient and effective administrative processes within the forensic services department.
  3. Maintain a thorough understanding of forensic procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and accuracy in all administrative tasks.
  4. Coordinate and communicate with other departments and agencies to streamline processes and improve collaboration.
  5. Manage and maintain department budgets and resources, including allocating funds and making purchasing decisions.
  6. Conduct performance evaluations and provide regular feedback to team members to promote a high-performing and motivated team.
  7. Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to increase efficiency and productivity.
  8. Oversee the scheduling and coordination of meetings, trainings, and other department activities.
  9. Ensure timely and accurate completion of administrative tasks, such as recordkeeping, data entry, and report generation.
  10. Collaborate with department leadership to develop and implement strategic goals and objectives.
  11. Represent the department at meetings and conferences to stay current on industry best practices and developments.
  12. Stay up-to-date on relevant laws, policies, and regulations related to forensic services and ensure compliance within the department.
  13. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  14. Collaborate with HR to recruit, hire, and train new administrative staff as needed.
  15. Lead by example and uphold the values and mission of the State of Colorado.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Criminal Justice, Forensic Science, Or Administration.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Supervisory Experience In A Forensic Services Or Related Field.

  • Knowledge Of State And Federal Laws And Regulations Pertaining To Forensic Services.

  • Strong Communication And Organizational Skills.
