ADPHT AGENCY DIRECTOR

1. Develop and implement strategic plans to support the overall goals and objectives of the Arkansas Department of Public Health and Human Services (ADPHT).
2. Lead and manage a team of professionals to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of public health services and programs.
3. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify and address public health needs and concerns in the state.
4. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of public health programs and initiatives, making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal outcomes.
5. Provide guidance and support to department staff in developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
6. Represent the ADPHT at meetings, conferences, and other events to promote awareness of public health issues and initiatives.
7. Develop and maintain strong relationships with community partners, including other government agencies, non-profit organizations, and healthcare providers.
8. Stay updated on the latest developments and trends in public health, and make recommendations for incorporating new practices and technologies into department operations.
9. Develop and manage the department's budget, ensuring funds are allocated appropriately and in line with organizational priorities.
10. Serve as a spokesperson for the ADPHT, communicating with the media and the public on matters related to public health and department initiatives.
11. Foster a positive and inclusive work culture, promoting teamwork, professional development, and a commitment to excellence.
12. Ensure the protection of confidential and sensitive information in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations.
13. Uphold ethical standards and promote accountability and transparency in all aspects of department operations.
14. Continuously assess and improve department processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
15. Other duties as assigned by the state government or department leadership.
