
Disease Intervention Specialist
The Disease Intervention Specialist II (DIS II) resides with the HIV/STD Program in the Section of Epidemiology. The DIS II manages statewide efforts to prevent and control sexually transmitted diseases (STDs); provides expert consultation on diagnosis, treatment, and partner services for STD; oversees STD surveillance, and analyzes and reports on disease and program activity; supervises and directs a team of five Disease Intervention Specialist and auxiliary staff; and oversees applications for and reporting on federal and other sources of funding.
Two years conducting the full range of communicable disease investigative and intervention activities.
Six years of experience administering or providing specialized health care or public health services
