Staff Accountant, Commercial Mortgage Loans

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Staff Accountant to join our Commercial Mortgage Loans team at SS&C Technologies. As a Staff Accountant, you will be part of a collaborative finance team that supports the business operations of our Commercial Mortgage Loans division. You will have the opportunity to make an impact by providing analysis and insight into the financial performance of our loan portfolio.To be successful in this role, you should have a degree in accounting or finance, as well as three to five years' accounting experience (preferably in the commercial loan sector). You should also have a strong understanding of US GAAP and relevant regulatory requirements. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills will be essential, as will an aptitude for problem-solving. Responsibilities:

1. Analyze and provide insight into the financial performance of the commercial loan portfolio.
2. Ensure compliance with US GAAP and relevant regulatory requirements.
3. Prepare and review financial statements and reports.
4. Maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
5. Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable.
6. Reconcile bank statements and other financial records.
7. Provide support to management in decision-making processes.
8. Develop and implement procedures for the accounting department.
9. Identify areas for improvement in the accounting process.
10. Keep up to date with changes in accounting legislation.
