Staff Accountant, Commercial Mortgage Loans

At SS&C Technologies, we are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team and help us manage and record our commercial mortgage loan portfolio. You will work closely with the loan department to reconcile data, ensure accuracy, and help ensure our loan portfolio is compliant with all applicable laws and regulations.To be successful in this role, you'll need to have a minimum of three years of accounting experience, preferably in a financial services setting. You should also have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field. This role requires strong technical skills, excellent attention to detail, and effective problem solving and communication skills. Responsibilities:

1. Reconcile financial data related to commercial mortgage loan portfolio.
2. Ensure accuracy of data and compliance with laws and regulations.
3. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all financial transactions.
4. Assist with preparing and analyzing financial statements.
5. Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
6. Manage and coordinate the preparation of audit schedules.
7. Identify and investigate any discrepancies or unusual financial activity.
8. Prepare and review journal entries and general ledger accounts.
9. Monitor and maintain internal controls to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
10. Provide support to other departments as needed.
