Senior Site Reliability Engineer

1. Ensure the reliability and performance of our systems and applications by monitoring and troubleshooting any issues that may arise.
2. Take ownership of incidents and outages, working diligently to resolve them in a timely manner and minimizing impact on clients and business operations.
3. Collaborate with our development and operations teams to design, build, and maintain scalable and highly available infrastructure solutions.
4. Develop and implement monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and address potential issues before they impact users.
5. Conduct regular performance testing and analysis to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to optimize system performance.
6. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in site reliability engineering and make recommendations for implementing new tools and processes.
7. Lead incident postmortems and root cause analysis to identify areas for improvement and implement preventative measures to avoid future incidents.
8. Act as a mentor to junior team members, providing guidance and sharing knowledge to help them grow in their roles.
9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and adhere to service level objectives and service level agreements.
10. Continuously drive improvements and automation in areas such as deployment processes, infrastructure provisioning, and system monitoring.
11. Participate in an on-call rotation to provide support and respond to critical incidents outside of regular business hours.
12. Maintain documentation and keep it up-to-date, ensuring that all processes and procedures are well-documented and easily accessible to the team.
13. Communicate effectively with stakeholders and keep them informed of any changes or updates that may impact them.
14. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team and across the organization.
15. Adhere to security and compliance standards and ensure that all systems and applications are secure and compliant with industry regulations.
