Senior Produce Clerk

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Produce Clerk to join our team at Sprouts Farmers Market. 1. Oversee daily operations of the produce department, including receiving, stocking, and merchandising of fresh produce.
2. Ensure the highest quality of fresh produce is consistently available for customers.
3. Train and lead a team of produce clerks, providing guidance and support as needed.
4. Create and maintain department schedules to ensure adequate coverage and efficient use of labor.
5. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with management to place orders for replenishment.
6. Maintain accurate and organized records of inventory, sales, and waste.
7. Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
8. Provide exceptional customer service, assisting customers with questions and concerns and addressing any issues that may arise.
9. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and new produce offerings, making recommendations for new products to add to the department.
10. Collaborate with other department managers to create promotions and displays that drive sales and attract customers.
11. Conduct regular quality checks on produce and promptly address any issues or concerns.
12. Train and enforce proper handling and storage procedures for all produce products.
13. Assist in setting and achieving sales goals for the department.
14. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and in working order.
15. Continuously evaluate and improve department processes and procedures to increase efficiency and productivity.
16. Act as a role model for junior staff, demonstrating a strong work ethic and dedication to providing excellent customer service.
17. Communicate effectively with management and other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
18. Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.
19. Attend training sessions and workshops to stay updated on company policies and procedures.
20. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
