- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the produce department, ensuring it runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Train and mentor new produce clerks, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ensuring that all produce is fresh, rotated, and stocked appropriately.
- Create appealing and eye-catching displays to attract customers and increase sales.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers, answering questions, and resolving any issues or concerns.
- Stay up-to-date on seasonal produce offerings and make recommendations for product selection and ordering.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper handling and storage of produce.
