  1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the produce department, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and rotating produce products.
  2. Ensure that all produce products are properly displayed, labeled, and priced according to company standards.
  3. Monitor and maintain proper inventory levels to meet customer demand and minimize waste.
  4. Train and supervise produce department staff, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and providing ongoing coaching and development.
  5. Develop and maintain strong relationships with local farmers and suppliers to ensure a consistent supply of high-quality produce.
  6. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and new produce offerings, and make recommendations for new products to add to the department.
  7. Ensure that all produce products meet safety and quality standards, and handle any issues or concerns promptly and effectively.
  8. Create and implement promotional and marketing strategies to increase sales and attract new customers to the produce department.
  9. Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their produce selections, answering questions, and addressing any concerns.
  10. Collaborate with other department managers to ensure a seamless shopping experience for customers and maintain a well-rounded selection of products.
  11. Maintain a clean and organized department, adhering to all safety and sanitation guidelines.
  12. Monitor and maintain department budget, including expense control and profit maximization.
  13. Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall success of the store.
  14. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment by promoting teamwork, open communication, and a strong work ethic.
  15. Represent the company in a professional and positive manner, both within the store and in the community.
