Produce Manager

1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the produce department, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and merchandising of all produce products.
2. Ensure that all produce products meet the company's quality standards and are presented in an attractive and appealing manner.
3. Train and develop team members on product knowledge, customer service, and department procedures.
4. Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure adequate stock of all produce items at all times.
5. Create and maintain schedules for the produce team to ensure adequate staffing during peak business hours.
6. Manage and control department expenses, including labor and product waste.
7. Collaborate with other department managers to ensure a cohesive and efficient store operation.
8. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and changes, and make recommendations for new and innovative products to add to the produce selection.
9. Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
10. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and standards.
11. Maintain a clean and organized produce department, including proper storage and rotation of products.
12. Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accurate stock levels and identify any discrepancies.
13. Assist in the development and implementation of marketing and promotional strategies for the produce department.
14. Act as a role model for team members by exhibiting a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and exceptional customer service skills.
15. Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and make suggestions to enhance the overall shopping experience for customers.
