- Develop and implement merchandise planning strategies in line with company goals and objectives.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Create and maintain merchandise plans and budgets for various departments and categories.
- Monitor inventory levels and make recommendations for inventory management and replenishment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including buying, marketing, and operations to ensure alignment and maximize efficiency.
- Lead a team of merchandise planners, providing guidance, support, and direction to achieve department goals.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and training to team members.
- Utilize various data analysis tools and techniques to identify patterns and insights, and present findings to upper management.
- Monitor and track sales performance and make strategic adjustments as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in merchandise planning and analytics.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and pricing.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as industry regulations.
- Manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Contribute to the overall success of the company by identifying and implementing process improvements and cost-saving measures.
- Maintain a positive and collaborative work environment, fostering teamwork and open communication.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Merchandise Planning And Analytics In The Retail Industry.
Strong Analytical Skills And Ability To Interpret Data To Make Informed Merchandising Decisions.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams.
Proficient In Using Merchandise Planning Software And Other Data Analysis Tools.
Bachelor's Degree In Business, Merchandising, Or Related Field. Mba Preferred.
