1. Lead and manage a team of cashiers to ensure a positive and efficient checkout experience for customers.
2. Oversee daily cash handling procedures and ensure accuracy and timeliness of transactions.
3. Train and coach new cashiers on proper procedures, customer service, and store policies.
4. Monitor cashier performance and provide feedback and support for improvement.
5. Create and maintain a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for customers by providing exceptional customer service.
6. Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns in a professional and timely manner.
7. Collaborate with other store departments to ensure effective communication and teamwork.
8. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including restocking bags, receipts, and other supplies.
9. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws and regulations.
10. Assist with opening and closing procedures, including counting and balancing cash drawers.
11. Act as a role model for the team by embodying the company's values and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
12. Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.
13. Adhere to safety and security protocols to prevent loss and protect company assets.
14. Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality when handling sensitive customer and company information.
15. Assist with other tasks and projects as needed to support store operations.
