1. Oversee and manage the daily operations of the cashier team, ensuring a smooth and efficient checkout process for customers.
2. Train, coach, and develop cashiers to provide exceptional customer service and adhere to company policies and procedures.
3. Monitor and maintain cash register accuracy, including handling cash, credit, and other forms of payment.
4. Resolve any customer complaints or issues in a timely and professional manner.
5. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including restocking bags and paper supplies.
6. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless store operations and a positive customer experience.
7. Monitor and manage cashier schedules and breaks to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
8. Conduct cash handling audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
9. Communicate effectively with store management regarding any issues or concerns.
10. Continuously seek ways to improve the checkout process and make recommendations for process improvements.
11. Lead by example and maintain a positive and friendly attitude towards customers and team members.
12. Assist in inventory management by accurately counting and recording cash and credit transactions.
13. Adhere to all safety and security protocols, including maintaining confidentiality of customer and company information.
14. Attend and actively participate in team meetings and training sessions.
15. Perform any other duties as assigned by store management.
