1. Oversee and manage the daily operations of the dairy department, including ordering, stocking, and merchandising of products.
2. Ensure that all dairy products are fresh, high quality, and meet the standards of the company.
3. Monitor inventory levels and make adjustments to orders as needed to maintain appropriate levels.
4. Train and supervise dairy department employees, providing guidance and support as needed.
5. Create and maintain schedules for department employees to ensure adequate coverage and efficient use of labor.
6. Monitor and control expenses, including labor costs, to maintain profitability of the department.
7. Implement and enforce company policies and procedures, including food safety and sanitation guidelines.

9. Stay informed about industry trends and innovations in dairy products, and make recommendations for new and improved products to offer to customers.
10. Address customer inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
11. Conduct regular department meetings to communicate updates, goals, and expectations to employees.
12. Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and expenses, and provide regular reports to upper management.
13. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding the sale and handling of dairy products.
14. Work with vendors and suppliers to negotiate pricing and maintain positive relationships.
15. Continuously seek ways to improve the customer experience and increase sales in the dairy department.
