- Receive and verify incoming shipments of products, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Assist in the organization and maintenance of inventory in the receiving area.
- Communicate with vendors and suppliers regarding shipment delays or issues.
- Monitor and report any discrepancies or damages in received products.
- Work closely with the inventory team to ensure timely distribution of products to stores.
- Maintain accurate records of all received products and update inventory systems as needed.
- Assist with inventory audits to ensure accuracy and identify any potential issues.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines while handling and storing products.
- Collaborate with other team members to maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Cross-train in other areas of the store to provide backup support as needed.
Strong Organizational Skills: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Excellent Organizational Skills To Effectively Manage And Maintain Inventory Levels, As Well As Keep Track Of Incoming And Outgoing Shipments.
Attention To Detail: A High Level Of Attention To Detail Is Necessary In This Role To Ensure Accurate And Timely Recording Of All Inventory Transactions.
Physical Endurance: This Job Requires Frequent Lifting And Moving Of Heavy Boxes And Bags, Therefore Physical Endurance And Strength Are Important Qualifications.
Excellent Communication Skills: As The Back Up Receiver, You Will Be Working Closely With The Receiving Team And Other Departments Within The Store. Strong Communication Skills Are Essential To Effectively Coordinate And Collaborate With Others.
Experience In Inventory Management: Previous Experience In Inventory Management, Particularly In A Retail Or Grocery Setting, Is Highly Desirable For This Role. This Includes Knowledge Of Inventory Control Systems And Procedures, As Well As Familiarity With Receiving And Storage Best Practices.
