- Receive and inspect incoming shipments of products, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area to facilitate efficient operations.
- Work closely with the receiving team to ensure timely and accurate inventory management.
- Communicate with vendors and suppliers regarding any issues with shipments.
- Properly record and track inventory data using company systems.
- Follow proper procedures for handling and storing products to maintain freshness and quality.
- Assist with unloading and loading of delivery trucks as needed.
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth store operations.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate any shortages or overages to management.
- Act as a backup for the receiving department in case of absence or busy periods.
- Continuously strive for excellence in customer service by addressing any customer concerns promptly and professionally.
- Stay updated on product knowledge and company policies to accurately assist customers.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Experience In Inventory Management: A Successful Candidate For This Position Should Have Experience In Managing Inventory And Ensuring Accurate Stock Levels. This Includes Receiving, Organizing, And Storing Products In A Timely Manner.
Strong Attention To Detail: Back Up Receivers Must Be Detail-Oriented And Have A Keen Eye For Discrepancies Or Errors In Shipments. They Are Responsible For Verifying The Accuracy Of Received Products And Reporting Any Discrepancies To The Appropriate Team Members.
Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: Sprouts Farmers Market Is A Busy And Fast-Paced Environment, So Candidates Must Be Able To Work Efficiently And Effectively Under Pressure. This Includes The Ability To Multitask, Prioritize, And Meet Tight Deadlines.
Knowledge Of Food Safety Regulations: As A Back Up Receiver, One Must Have Knowledge Of Food Safety Regulations And Be Able To Adhere To Them In All Aspects Of Their Work. This Includes Properly Storing And Handling Food Products To Ensure Their Safety And Quality.
Excellent Communication Skills: Effective Communication Is Essential In This Role As Back Up Receivers Must Work Closely With Other Team Members, Including Vendors, Warehouse Personnel, And Store Managers. They Must Be Able To Communicate Clearly And Professionally In Person, Over The Phone, And Through Written Communication.
