As a Back up Receiver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our inventory is accurately received, stored, and distributed to our stores.   1. Accurately receive and process inventory from suppliers and ensure it is properly distributed to our stores.
  2. Ensure all products are properly stored and stored in designated areas.
  3. Keep accurate records of inventory received and distributed.
  4. Communicate any discrepancies or issues with inventory to management.
  5. Assist with physical inventory counts and audits.
  6. Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
  7. Follow all safety and sanitation protocols while handling inventory.
  8. Work closely with other team members to ensure efficient and timely handling of inventory.
  9. Assist with training new team members on receiving procedures.
  10. Keep up-to-date with knowledge of products to ensure accurate receiving and distribution.
  11. Collaborate with purchasing department to monitor and maintain inventory levels.
  12. Help troubleshoot any issues with inventory or receiving processes.
  13. Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times.
  14. Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  15. Continuously look for ways to improve receiving processes and increase efficiency.

Job Qualifications
  • Experience With Inventory Management: A Qualified Back Up Receiver Should Have Experience With Managing Inventory, Including Receiving, Stocking, And Organizing Products In A Retail Setting. This Includes Knowledge Of Proper Storage Procedures And Familiarity With Inventory Tracking Systems.

  • Strong Attention To Detail: As A Back Up Receiver, It Is Essential To Have A Keen Eye For Detail To Accurately Check Incoming Shipments For Accuracy And Quality. This Includes Checking For Damaged Or Expired Products And Ensuring Proper Labeling And Pricing.

  • Physical Stamina: This Position Requires Lifting, Carrying, And Moving Heavy Boxes And Products On A Regular Basis. Therefore, Candidates Should Have The Physical Stamina And Ability To Perform These Tasks Safely And Efficiently.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: As A Member Of The Store Team, The Back Up Receiver Will Need To Work Closely With Other Staff Members, Including The Receiving Team, Store Managers, And Vendors. Strong Communication Skills Are Essential To Ensure Efficient And Accurate Handling Of Shipments And Effective Communication With The Rest Of The Team.

  • Knowledge Of Safety And Sanitation Procedures: Working With Food Products Requires Strict Adherence To Safety And Sanitation Procedures To Ensure The Quality And Freshness Of Products. Candidates Should Have A Good Understanding Of These Procedures And Be Able To Follow Them Consistently. Familiarity With Food Handling Regulations And Guidelines Is Also A Plus.
