- Oversee daily operations of the deli department, ensuring that all tasks and responsibilities are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Train and develop deli associates to provide exceptional customer service and maintain high standards of food quality and safety.
- Assist in creating and maintaining deli department schedules to ensure proper coverage and efficient use of resources.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure adequate stock of deli items and minimize waste.
- Collaborate with the Deli Manager to develop and implement strategies for increasing sales and improving department performance.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
- Uphold the company's standards for customer service, including greeting and assisting customers, addressing any concerns or complaints, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Assist in managing department finances, including monitoring expenses and controlling labor costs.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and new deli products, and make recommendations to the Deli Manager for menu updates and improvements.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication among deli associates and other departments.
- Lead by example and maintain a strong work ethic, setting a high standard for deli associates to follow.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Deli Manager or store management.
Familiarity With Inventory Management And Ordering Processes.
