1. Assist the Deli Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the deli department.
2. Maintain a high level of customer service by greeting and assisting customers, addressing any concerns or complaints, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
3. Ensure all deli products are prepared, presented, and served in accordance with company standards and food safety regulations.
4. Monitor inventory levels and assist in placing orders to maintain adequate stock of deli products.
5. Train and develop deli team members on proper food handling, preparation techniques, and customer service skills.
6. Collaborate with the Deli Manager to create and implement strategies to increase sales and maximize profitability.
7. Ensure accurate and timely completion of all administrative tasks, such as scheduling, payroll, and inventory management.
8. Maintain a clean and organized deli department, following all sanitation and safety protocols.
9. Assist in conducting regular quality checks to ensure the freshness and quality of all deli products.
10. Serve as a role model and leader for the deli team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
11. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and new deli products, making recommendations to the Deli Manager for potential additions to the menu.
12. Handle any customer or employee issues that may arise in a professional and timely manner.
13. Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and procedures within the deli department.
14. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to safety, health, and sanitation standards.
15. Assist in the training and onboarding of new deli team members as needed.
