1. Assist the Bakery Manager in daily operations of the bakery department, including overseeing production, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining cleanliness and organization.
2. Manage inventory levels and product ordering to ensure adequate stock and minimize waste.
3. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers, responding to inquiries and complaints, and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
4. Train and supervise bakery team members, ensuring they are knowledgeable about products and able to provide excellent service to customers.
5. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
6. Collaborate with the Bakery Manager to develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability.
7. Maintain a high level of product knowledge and stay updated on industry trends and new products.
8. Assist in creating and updating product displays and signage to effectively promote and market bakery items.
9. Monitor and maintain equipment and report any issues or malfunctions to the Bakery Manager.
10. Participate in the hiring and training process for new bakery team members.
11. Assist in creating and managing the bakery department budget, including monitoring expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
12. Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment by fostering open communication and teamwork among bakery staff.
13. Ensure all bakery products meet quality and freshness standards and take appropriate action if products do not meet these standards.
14. Perform other duties as assigned by the Bakery Manager or store management.
